DANGER : TRENDY!

If it’s a trend, don’t do it. I have been living by this thought lately.

Pour Over the Rainbow was created for educational purposes. Allowing the residents & visitors in Hawaii to learn about the existence of excellent coffee.

And lately, I’ve been seeing or learning about businesses that simply start because of hype, trend, or a “cute business idea”.

This is when I turn my horse blinders on.

Being in the chain of looking trendy scares the heck out of me.

I am afraid to be like everybody else. I am afraid that if hype comes up, I would fall 10x harder. Trends aren’t meant to stay. Following trends is having the desire to be liked and wanting to fit in. Having people criticize what you serve, rather that owning up to your specialty & sharing what’s unique to your craft. As someone who is in it for the long run, I also recognize the pattern of trends eventually dying.

I do not want to be told what to do, however my ears are only open to those I see credible to their knowledge & skillset.

My cups are even covered for goodness sake. The look can never deceive how it actually tastes.

So no. No cold foam & No strawberry matchas, Would this kick me in the ass in the future? Well, we’re about to find out!. :)
